We Are Doing Well

We have been very busy but doing well overall. We had a beautiful weekend celebrating Father's Day with hubby/daddy. We enjoyed a few boat rides & was able to finally just relax quite a bit for a change. We did have a nasty storm move in Sunday night that left us without power for over 12 hours. No TV or internet access for about 2o hours. I am certainly glad I didn't live in the pioneer days:P

Here are a few pictures of the boys from the weekend.

WE ARE STILL AROUND....

It has been a very busy spring! Family members have been sick requiring some of my time to take them to doctors appts. & such. Work has been extremely busy as well. Some weeks have had appts. scheduled every day & many in one day....whew! Glad that all has finally slowed down.

I got a Wii for Mother's Day from Gary & the boys. Now that is a very interactive & fun gaming system. You can definitely get a workout especially with the boxing game that comes with it. I have purchased a few games & am having a great time playing them with my nephews.
Hershey turned 3 on May 9th. He got a couple of toys & of course the standard pumpkin muffins that I make for each of their birthdays. They also got a special dinner that night of chicken & rice. Here are a couple of pictures of Hershey on his birthday.

We put in the pontoon boat & fishing boat this last weekend. It was nice to get away for a couple of days. The boys were very excited about being able to pontoon again. Here are a few pictures of the boys enjoying their first ride of the year.

Happy April Fool's Day!

Well I must say I don't get into April Fool's Day much. Just another day anymore. Now when I was a kid I probably would do a few things albeit stupid things:P Our local paper used to post a story that would end up being an april fool's day joke but I don't believe they have done that in awhile.

Since my last post our little Mack has turned 1 year old. He got a few toys & a pumpkin muffin for his birthday party. Here are a few pictures of our baby.

Also Tucker the little foster boy we had a couple of weeks ago has settled in nicely to his new home. That makes me feel good that we helped him find a loving home to grow up in.

We Have A Visitor

We have a visitor. We are fostering a cocker spainel boy. He is such a sweetheart. He arrived yesterday. My DH made a phone call & he already has a new forever home. He will be going there tomorrow. In the couple of days we will have had him he has adjusted very well. I am thrilled with his new mom & know he will be very well loved. My boys have enjoyed having him & I think he has enjoyed being around them. He loves to play with them. Here are some pictures of him. Also I have included some pics of him with the boys.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Now that the taxes are at the accountants I have been trying to catch up on other things around the house. We are doing some improvements to the house this year. It's amazing how time consuming these sort of things can be.

I am ready for spring to get here! I have had enough snow...actually IMO too much.....& am very ready for warmer weather. I am looking forward to the sun shining! This week I did hear & see some birds singing & that was nice to hear. I saw my first robin of the year last week & that always puts me in a good mood!

Here is a recent picture of the boys just chillin'. They are all doing quite well.

FINALLY!

I am so excited to report I should now have a bit more time on my hands! I now have the 2007 completely wrapped up as well as the 2007 taxes ready to go to the accountant! It has taken me forever this year it seems! Everything is filed away from last year finally!

We are doing well. We are all ready for spring! Saw my first robin today & that put a smile on my face! I think this is the earliest I have seen one. I am ready for the snow to go away, not that we have much, the temperatures to warm up, the flowers to bloom, & the trees to get leaves.

I don't think we have had a bad winter per se. I certainly remember much worse winters. But IMO a winter is still long. I know before long though that it is going to get warmer & we will be able to enjoy boating once again.

Where Has The Time Gone Already!

Well I must say that January is flyin' by! I have been busy working on year end things. Getting 2007 completely wrapped up & tucked away in my storage room.

Odie & Hershey have had a couple of bumps in the road to start out the new year. Odie got conjunctivitis in one eye. With daily treatment it is back to normal. Hershey's allergies have caused some issues for the poor little guy. After a shot & some antibiotics he is also doing better. Thank goodness!

Reesie & Mack are as ornery as ever! They keep me hopping that is for sure! I must say though I wouldn't have it any other way. I do love our boys as does Gary.

I plan on taking some updated pictures of the boys this weekend. Once I get it done I will post a few. I can't believe I have hardly used my camera in the last three weeks.

I did take last Saturday & go about 2 hours north to meet up with some friends for a friend's birthday. It was a blast! We all enjoyed it very much!

The weather has been bitter cold. Thank goodness the forecast is warming up in the next few days. This bitter cold weather is hard to deal with. Boy am I glad we don't have winter all year long.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well as 2008 begins I wish all a happy & properous year ahead! Normally, I don't make resolutions; however, I will say that in this year I would like to become healthier, become more organized, procrastinate less, & be more tolerant of others.
We had a wonderful Christmas. The holidays are so very busy. I baked cookies with my niece which we do every year & it has become a tradition that I look very forward too. I also made ornaments with some of my nephews. This is a tradition we started a couple of years ago & we have a blast doing it.
The beginning of the year brings tax time......UGH! I can't say I am looking forward to this but I will be glad when it is done....hopefully by the end of February if not before.
Here are a few pictures of the boys playing in the snow & with their hats & scarves on that their Grammy got them for Christmas. Also there is a group shot that we got for Grammy for one of her presents. She loved it.
