SURPRISE!!!!!!!

We are still here!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been forever since I have posted anything. I am sorry for this. We had a very hectic fall & winter. Things are looking up, as they say, and I am hopeful that I will be able to better stay on top of my blog in 2009.

I am looking forward to the warmup coming in the weather. I will be glad when all the snow & ice is melted. Of course, then we will have to tend with mud. I guess that is just part of living though.

Boating season is getting closer & we all can't wait! Everyday when I see the pontoon; I think of being out on the lake.

The boys are all doing well. I know they will enjoy the warmer days so they can play out longer. Here is an updated picture of them.

I will try & check in more often.

We Are Doing Well

We have been very busy but doing well overall. We had a beautiful weekend celebrating Father's Day with hubby/daddy. We enjoyed a few boat rides & was able to finally just relax quite a bit for a change. We did have a nasty storm move in Sunday night that left us without power for over 12 hours. No TV or internet access for about 2o hours. I am certainly glad I didn't live in the pioneer days:P

Here are a few pictures of the boys from the weekend.

WE ARE STILL AROUND....

It has been a very busy spring! Family members have been sick requiring some of my time to take them to doctors appts. & such. Work has been extremely busy as well. Some weeks have had appts. scheduled every day & many in one day....whew! Glad that all has finally slowed down.

I got a Wii for Mother's Day from Gary & the boys. Now that is a very interactive & fun gaming system. You can definitely get a workout especially with the boxing game that comes with it. I have purchased a few games & am having a great time playing them with my nephews.
Hershey turned 3 on May 9th. He got a couple of toys & of course the standard pumpkin muffins that I make for each of their birthdays. They also got a special dinner that night of chicken & rice. Here are a couple of pictures of Hershey on his birthday.

We put in the pontoon boat & fishing boat this last weekend. It was nice to get away for a couple of days. The boys were very excited about being able to pontoon again. Here are a few pictures of the boys enjoying their first ride of the year.

Happy April Fool's Day!

Well I must say I don't get into April Fool's Day much. Just another day anymore. Now when I was a kid I probably would do a few things albeit stupid things:P Our local paper used to post a story that would end up being an april fool's day joke but I don't believe they have done that in awhile.

Since my last post our little Mack has turned 1 year old. He got a few toys & a pumpkin muffin for his birthday party. Here are a few pictures of our baby.

Also Tucker the little foster boy we had a couple of weeks ago has settled in nicely to his new home. That makes me feel good that we helped him find a loving home to grow up in.

We Have A Visitor

We have a visitor. We are fostering a cocker spainel boy. He is such a sweetheart. He arrived yesterday. My DH made a phone call & he already has a new forever home. He will be going there tomorrow. In the couple of days we will have had him he has adjusted very well. I am thrilled with his new mom & know he will be very well loved. My boys have enjoyed having him & I think he has enjoyed being around them. He loves to play with them. Here are some pictures of him. Also I have included some pics of him with the boys.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Now that the taxes are at the accountants I have been trying to catch up on other things around the house. We are doing some improvements to the house this year. It's amazing how time consuming these sort of things can be.

I am ready for spring to get here! I have had enough snow...actually IMO too much.....& am very ready for warmer weather. I am looking forward to the sun shining! This week I did hear & see some birds singing & that was nice to hear. I saw my first robin of the year last week & that always puts me in a good mood!

Here is a recent picture of the boys just chillin'. They are all doing quite well.

FINALLY!

I am so excited to report I should now have a bit more time on my hands! I now have the 2007 completely wrapped up as well as the 2007 taxes ready to go to the accountant! It has taken me forever this year it seems! Everything is filed away from last year finally!

We are doing well. We are all ready for spring! Saw my first robin today & that put a smile on my face! I think this is the earliest I have seen one. I am ready for the snow to go away, not that we have much, the temperatures to warm up, the flowers to bloom, & the trees to get leaves.

I don't think we have had a bad winter per se. I certainly remember much worse winters. But IMO a winter is still long. I know before long though that it is going to get warmer & we will be able to enjoy boating once again.

Where Has The Time Gone Already!

Well I must say that January is flyin' by! I have been busy working on year end things. Getting 2007 completely wrapped up & tucked away in my storage room.

Odie & Hershey have had a couple of bumps in the road to start out the new year. Odie got conjunctivitis in one eye. With daily treatment it is back to normal. Hershey's allergies have caused some issues for the poor little guy. After a shot & some antibiotics he is also doing better. Thank goodness!

Reesie & Mack are as ornery as ever! They keep me hopping that is for sure! I must say though I wouldn't have it any other way. I do love our boys as does Gary.

I plan on taking some updated pictures of the boys this weekend. Once I get it done I will post a few. I can't believe I have hardly used my camera in the last three weeks.

I did take last Saturday & go about 2 hours north to meet up with some friends for a friend's birthday. It was a blast! We all enjoyed it very much!

The weather has been bitter cold. Thank goodness the forecast is warming up in the next few days. This bitter cold weather is hard to deal with. Boy am I glad we don't have winter all year long.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well as 2008 begins I wish all a happy & properous year ahead! Normally, I don't make resolutions; however, I will say that in this year I would like to become healthier, become more organized, procrastinate less, & be more tolerant of others.
We had a wonderful Christmas. The holidays are so very busy. I baked cookies with my niece which we do every year & it has become a tradition that I look very forward too. I also made ornaments with some of my nephews. This is a tradition we started a couple of years ago & we have a blast doing it.
The beginning of the year brings tax time......UGH! I can't say I am looking forward to this but I will be glad when it is done....hopefully by the end of February if not before.
Here are a few pictures of the boys playing in the snow & with their hats & scarves on that their Grammy got them for Christmas. Also there is a group shot that we got for Grammy for one of her presents. She loved it.

Ok We Are Back!

Well let's see since I have been here last there has been some things that have happened. I sprained my ankle & let me tell you I am still having trouble with it. I had a birthday....getting older is a good thing:) We pulled all the boats.....so boating is over until next year:(

November flew by! I did get much of my Christmas shopping done. I went to a pet expo in Michigan & had a blast! I spent a night away from my hubby & the boys & I have to admit that was hard to do. My dad & nephew each had a birthday in November. We also had a wonderful thanksgiving too.

I got my Christmas cards addressed & sent out today:) So December has started off on a good note. I hope I can stay on top of things as this can be a very busy month. Most of my shopping is complete. Of course I still need to wrap....ummm that is where gift bags come in very handy...lol.

Hope to write on a more regular basis:P I will stay in touch.

WOW.....It's Been A While!

Ok so it has been awhile once again. Let me get you updated on what has been happening in our corner of the world.

First, a Happy Belated Birthday to our Reesie! He turned 1 on Sept. 28th. We had a party for him & he truly enjoyed his day. I fixed him chicken & rice for supper and pumpkin muffins for his birthday "cake". All the boys enjoyed Reesie's day with the special treats:)

Second, Mack turned 6 months on Sept. 28th. This meant it was time for him to get neutered. He was neutered on Oct. 5th and has done very well with the surgery! He didn't even take an extra nap the day of surgery:) I don't think he knows anything happened....lol:P

I have been busy working and trying once again to get and stay caught up on my work. I hope to be completely up-to-date by week's end.

Fall sounds like it is finally arriving. We pulled one of the boats from the lake last weekend & will spend the next couple of weeks tucking summer away and welcoming the actual changing of the season. This year has went by fast!

I hope to do a better job at catching up as when it turns cold I try not to go out much.

I Finally Had Time To Play

I have been so busy that I haven't had much time to do things I want to do. I have been piddling with photoshop elements 5.0 off and on for some time. My niece stopped by and showed me a few things to do! Thank You Sweetie!!!! This program is quite fun. Below are pictures of each one of our boys. I still have plenty to learn to make them look like a finished project.

Odie

Hershey

Reesie

Mack

We went this morning and had our pictures taken. I think they turned out well. I can't wait to get them! Mack got his 5 month picture taken, we got the boys as a group taken, and then we had our family picture taken. Sometimes it can be trying to get four cockers to sit still long enough for pictures to be taken:P

Things Are Going Well

Things have started slowing down a bit which means I am stressing less:) The boys I think are glad that things are settling down as well. It's hard to believe that labor day is just around the corner. This summer has flown by. We have been able to enjoy the lake since about mid June & will miss the boat rides. I do believe the boys will miss them more though. They do love to go boating.

I have been taking a lot of pictures of the boys. Of course this is nothing new to me. Even hubby gets into taking pictures of them, it is so sweet. Here are a few pictures we took over the last couple of weeks.

Here are the boys all buckled in & ready to head to the lake.

The first half of the weekend was raining. This was good napping & lounging weather.
Here is one of Reesie posing for his daddy to take his picture.
Here is Hershey giving me a wink.
Here they are waiting for mommy & daddy to get to the pontoon & get the door open.

The Boys Had A Sleepover...

Three of my nephews spent the night Friday. Saturday we took them swimming. Gary put our boys in a tube and they seemed to really enjoy it! Our boys went swimming Saturday & Sunday. Then they had to come in Sunday & get a bath.

Reesie has made a big accomplishment. When we got him he was terrified of the clippers even of a comb or brush. We have been working with him diligently and giving him treats constantly throughout the grooming session. It has paid off. Last week when we trimmed him he was able to be groomed without any treats. Of course he did get a treat when he was done for being such a big boy!

It is hard to believe that it is the middle of August already. To think that we will be pulling the boats out of the lake within two months or less is quite depressing:( Ah c'est la vie.

WOW! It Has Been Way Too Long!

Well July proved to be quite busy. We took some time to ourselves the first of the month then I spent the rest of the month playing catch up. I have gotten my first 6 months summarized so I am now in good shape. I just need to get busy & get July done.

We have been spending many of our weekends at the lake. That is such a different world & oh so relaxing! I have gotten many pictures of the boys on the pontoon particularly. They really love to go for a boat ride & you can see the enjoyment in their eyes!

Mack is getting so big. He is growing like a weed. All the boys are doing very well & Reesie is giving Odie a run for his money at being the biggest momma's boy. Hershey has been wanting more mommy time lately too. Of course I don't mind:)

We will be having family pictures done at the end of the month. Once each of the boys turn 5 months we get their pictures taken professionally. At that time we also do a family picture.

Hopefully I will be better able to keep up better here lately. It has been a very busy summer. Hard to believe summer is over half way over:(

Checking In!

Waiting on a boat ride!

Helping their dad navigate the waters!

Well July has started out quite busy. Of course, what did I expect....it is summer & that is usually a very busy time. We took some time off last week to enjoy our lake house. We had a relaxing time & took quite a few boat rides! It poured down raining on our way out to see the fireworks. However, some of our neighbors set some nice ones off Saturday evening.

Reesie got his stitches out last week & he never ever showed one sign of any type of surgery! We are so proud of him! Mack is growing like a weed! Sometimes I think when he is looking at me he is telling me "Look at what I am going to get into next, Mom". Hershey has had some problems with his allergies. He completely quit jumping last week. Gary took him to the vet & he had to get a shot. He is feeling better now though! Odie is still my little cuddle bug & has been doing great! He is enjoying teaching Mack how to dig:P

Whew! What A Week!

What a busy week this ended up being! Monday Mack went to the vet for his puppy shot & weighed in at 8 lbs.! Wow he is growing up so fast!

Tuesday Reesie got neutered:( He has done a GREAT job in dealing with it! You would have never known he even had surgery! He is such a trooper! At times it has been a challenge trying to get him to not jump.....he LOVES to play!

Thursday was extremely hectic & long. The morning started out with Odie & Hershey going to the vet for their allergy shots. Rushing home to get payroll done before leaving to take my MIL to get cataract surgery. Got home from the surgery & took off to look at a job with Gary, buy some things for our new garage, & going out to dinner.

Friday I took my MIL to the eye dr. for a checkup on her eye, done a couple of errands for my mom, then worked in the offuce on a big job until very late. I am ready for a RELAXING weekend!

It's Been A Bit Busy This Month

I have been quite busy lately. Besides being behind in the office, I have had to take family members to drs. appts., had company, attend an out-of-state graduation for my nephew (Congratulations Robert!), and taking care of my babies. I hope July slows down just a bit for me:) I need to get caught back up in the office most importantly. It is amazing how far behind one can get & then how difficult it is to get caught back up again:P I will try to do a better job at posting.

Congratulations to My Niece & New Nephew!

Last night was my niece's wedding. She was GORGEOUS!!!!! Everything went well & they are off enjoying their honeymoon. I am really proud of her. She worked very hard for a year to make sure everything was perfect for her big day! It turned out beautifully! I love my new nephew too! He is a great guy! They make a great couple! CONGRATULATIONS YOU TWO!

Sorry For Being MIA Lately

Things have been quite busy this last week with it being a shortened work week. I am in no way caught up but hope to be by the end of this coming week.

I took some pictures of the boys today. They had baths and were groomed yesterday. I am very proud of Reesie. He has been very frightened by the clippers since we got him. He has made wonderful progress in the few grooms he has had. They all done great yesterday:)
